TORONTO — Sunwing has announced new seasonal direct service from Moncton to Miami running from Feb. 8 until May 2, 2020.

The service, which will depart Saturdays, is expected to be the only one of its kind between the two cities for the coming season.

With the addition of Miami, sunseekers departing from Greater Moncton now have six of Sunwing’s most popular southern destinations available to them: Puerto Plata and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic; Montego Bay in Jamaica; Cancun, Mexico, and Varadero, Cuba.

“Miami is a hub for beach vacations, cruise getaways, city stays and much more. We’ve been offering sunshine flights from Greater Moncton since 2007 and we’re delighted to be providing travellers from this area with a direct flight to this vibrant destination together with even more convenient cruise package options,” said Reg Mendes, Sunwing’s Vice President of USA and Cruises.

Travellers who opt for a Florida vacation package receive a complimentary Alamo car rental included in their booking, with an upgrade to a minivan when booking family-style accommodations with two bedrooms or more. Sunwing also offers cruise packages that include return transfers from the airport to PortMiami.

Cruisers have plenty of options to choose from when travelling with Sunwing. Available ships include MSC Seaside, which boasts a splash park and the Easy Drink beverage package, and the Norwegian Escape, featuring 20 decks, a zipline circuit and a quarter-mile long oceanfront promenade.

For those choosing to cruise and stay, hotel options include Riu Plaza Miami, a beachfront resort near Miami’s art galleries and clubs, and Sole on the Ocean, situated on Sunny Isles Beach.
