TORONTO — Cayo Coco, Cuba is about to welcome a lot more Canadians this winter, thanks to new flight service from Sunwing.

The airline has announced new flights to the sun-soaked destination from two Canadian gateways: London, Ontario and North Bay, Ontario.

Commencing this winter, London service will operate on Wednesdays between Dec. 20, 2017 and March 28, 2018.

Also this winter, the airline will be returning to North Bay for a sixth consecutive season with the addition of a new weekly flight service to Cayo Coco operating on Wednesdays between Dec. 20, 2017 and March 21, 2018.

“Cayo Coco is a wonderful destination in Cuba and is always high on the list of southern destinations when we survey vacationers in the London area,” said Mike Seabrook, President and CEO of London International Airport. “This Cuban destination coupled with the excellent service that we have come to expect from Sunwing should make this new flight a complete success.”

On returning to North Bay, President of Tour Operations Andrew Dawson said: “We’re very pleased to be returning to North Bay for a sixth season. Cuba is perennially one of our most popular destinations and we’re delighted to be able to offer residents of North Bay access to one of its most attractive resort destinations this coming winter.”

In Cayo Coco, Sunwing offers a wide range of properties, including the intimate Memories Caribe Beach Resort, the family-friendly Pullman Cayo Coco, and the beautiful Memories Flamenco Beach Resort.

In other Sunwing news, the company is prolonging the summer season with its Extend Your Summer Sale, good through July 28.

The promotion features exclusive deals at top-rated resorts across the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America, says Sunwing, including some of the tour operator’s newest and most luxurious properties.
