Sunwing adds three new summer flights from Edmonton

TORONTO — Following an extremely successful start to the 2014/2015 winter season, Sunwing Vacations will be increasing its flight services over the summer months to offer residents of Edmonton a number of new options for summer getaways.

For summer 2015, the airline will be offering three new weekly summer flights to some of its most popular sun destinations – Cayo Coco in Cuba, the island of Grand Bahama and Los Cabos on Mexico’s Baja peninsula.

In addition, the weekly connection to the popular Mexican vacation destination of Cancun that previously operated via Calgary will become a nonstop service over summer 2015.

Andrew Dawson, Chief Operating Officer for the Sunwing Travel Group, said “Edmonton is our largest gateway in Western Canada and we are delighted to be able to extend our summer programming to maintain some of the most popular routes all year.”

The Memories Grand Bahama Beach & Casino Resort is featured and offers a splash park and supervised kids club as well as unlimited green fees included at the neighbouring Championship golf course and a range of a la carte dining options.

Handpicked for Sunwing’s exclusive Family Collection, Memories Flamenco Beach Resort on the island of Cayo Coco, Cuba has all the elements for a carefree family vacation including supervised kids clubs, spacious family-friendly rooms and a full entertainment program.

A week’s stay at the Memories Flamenco Beach Resort is available from $775 plus $356 tax per person based on two people sharing a Junior Suite Garden view Room and departing from Edmonton on either May 27 or June 3.
