Starwood invites The Travel Agent Next Door to join Luxury Privileges program

TORONTO — The Travel Agent Next Door, which specializes in home-based travel agents and supports medium- to small-sized agencies, has been named one of the five agencies in Canada to be invited to join the Starwood Luxury Privileges program.

The new partnership takes effect immediately and will enable The Travel Agent Next Door agents to offer special privileges and features to clients whenever they book a luxury Starwood property. When booking on Luxury Privileges at St. Regis, The Luxury Collection or W Hotels Worldwide, clients will enjoy a suite of benefits that include breakfast for two each morning, a $100 amenity per stay (F&B credit, spa credit or welcome gift), complimentary in-room Wi-Fi, a personal welcome, early or late checkout and upgrade.

The program also gives agents access to special services from Starwood to support their business needs, and earns them rewards through SPG Pro.

“We are extremely proud to be selected by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide as a partner in offering the Starwood Luxury Privileges benefits to our clients,” said Flemming Friisdahl, Founder, The Travel Agent Next Door. “This is a great tool for our agents to build loyalty with their clients and to be able to offer them exclusive privileges they otherwise would not receive.”

Friisdahl also noted that Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide will be partially hosting next year’s The Travel Agent Next Door conference in Miami, before agents head out on a cruise.
