Skal Toronto’s annual golf tourney tees off on Aug. 22

TORONTO – Skal Canada Toronto is once again hitting the links for its annual golf tournament, set to take place on Aug. 22 at Lionhead Golf Club in Brampton, ON.

Open to all, the 63rd annual event is considered a key travel and tourism industry event, hosting over 100 participants and guests for a fun day of friendly competition. Spots are available for individual golfers, foursomes as well as sponsors.

“The tournament is an excellent chance to be front and centre with industry executives and Skal members,” said organizers.

Registration at the golf course starts at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. It will be a scramble, best ball format, so all levels of players are welcome. The event will also include a barbecue lunch served prior to the shotgun start, as well as a post-reception and dinner featuring a live auction and prizes.

Golf fees include 18 holes, golf cart, lunch and dinner with wine. Skal members pay $150 while all other guests pay $190. Those who register to play by May 31 will have a chance to win a free registration.

According to organizers, the best value is to sponsor a hole, which includes a foursome for a fee of $900. Those who register to sponsor a hole by May 31 will also have a chance to win a free hole sponsorship (value of $400).
