‘Sell Your Way to the USA’ winners head to Pacific Northwest’s ‘Emerald City’: Seattle

SEATTLE — Three top-performing Ontario travel advisors, the latest winners in the ‘Sell Your Way to the USA’ incentive, recently got the chance to head west with Air Canada to explore one of the gems of the Pacific Northwest.

Rachel Neild with Think Travel Inc. in Ottawa, Colette Larsen, Clark-Way Travel in Toronto and Kathy Kean with Kean 2 Travel in Woodstock took three of the 12 top spots in the ‘Sell Your Way to the U.S.A.’ contest, and their prize was a land and air inclusive FAM trip to Seattle.

Earlier prize trips in the ‘Sell Your Way to the U.S.A.’ contest have included Washington, DC, and Portland, OR.

One final trip to Utah is on the horizon for three more lucky ‘Sell Your Way to the USA’ winners over the next few months.

After experiencing Air Canada’s award-winning service to the Emerald City, Neild, Larsen and Kean were treated to a behind-the-scenes Pike Place Market Food Tour with Savor Seattle. They joined a Starbucks master roaster at the only Starbucks Reserve Roastery in the world and explored Seattle’s underground  on a Bill Speidel’s Underground Tour. They took in the bold, bright colours of Chihuly Garden and Glass, visited the Museum of Pop Culture and enjoyed awe-inspiring views from the Space Needle.

The group also took a ferry and explored the quaint downtown of Bainbridge Island, enjoyed a Harbor Tour with Argosy Cruises, visited the Seattle Aquarium and rode the Seattle Great Wheel. Cuisine offerings included Ivar’s Acres of Clams and Ray’s Boathouse for the freshest Northwest seafood. Happy hour was enjoyed at mbar followed by casual vibes at Serious Pie, a pizzeria with a bread baker’s soul.

The highlight of the trip? Taking in an NHL game at Climate Pledge Arena, where the hometown team Seattle Kraken took on the Anaheim Ducks. The hotel for the trip was the centrally located Westin Seattle.

Says Visit Seattle’s Tourism Manager, Caitlyn Shearer: “Seattle is a wonderful city to explore and this trip was no exception! In addition to highlighting Seattle’s access to Alaska cruising, the group discovered all the ways to experience the city and, in turn, develop itinerary options, from an adults only game-day weekend to family time with kids to the ever-iconic girls’ trip. Seattle is a popular destination for Canadian visitors. Air Canada offers daily service between Vancouver and Seattle which makes it an easy option for those wanting a quick getaway or an extended holiday.”
