Scenic launches 2021/2022 Southeast Asia cruise brochure

TORONTO — Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours has unveiled its new 2021/2022 ‘Exotic Wonders of Southeast Asia River Cruising’ brochure, featuring exclusive experiences and new Booking and Confidence plans.

As the only river cruise line to design, build, own and operate its SE Asia luxury river ships to strict European safety standards, Scenic is offering even more peace of mind with hits ‘Book with Confidence’ program. Through this program, guests are provided with additional booking flexibility, a free Deposit Protection Plan (valued at $125) as well as reduced deposits by 50%. In addition, the company’s ‘Cruise with Confidence’ plan has been implemented, featuring new health and safety policies to keep guests and crew safe while cruising.

While sailing on the company’s five-star boutique ships – the 68-guest Scenic Spirit on the Mekong and the 44-guest Scenic Aura on the Irrawaddy – guests will enjoy a wealth of local experiences. On a Mekong cruise/land adventure, multiple forms of transport are available, like bicycles, ox carts, Tuk Tuks, long tail boats, speed boats and sampans, while special highlights range from Vietnamese and Cambodian cooking demonstrations and meeting novice Buddhist monks, to sitting with survivors of the Khmer Rouge and enjoying lunch at a local NGO restaurant that teaches local street kids hospitality skills.

Along the Myanmar’s Irrawaddy, guests will spend time with locals on the ‘Circle’ train that travels around Yangon, partake in early morning alms for local monks, and learn about life at home with an Intha family during lunch at Inle Lake.

Moreover, Scenic Enrich is a range of exclusive-to-Scenic excursions that adds value and authenticity to every journey. Possibilities include a theme gala dinner at Cambodia’s Angkor Wat featuring Apsara dancers, vintage Vespa rides in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh, and interacting with novice monks, nuns and orphans at a monastic-supported school in Myanmar.

Scenic’s all-inclusive cruise fares (cruise portion only) means everything except massages and the hair dresser is included: private butler service, unlimited complimentary beverages, gratuities, transfers, cultural entertainment, and regional cuisine as well as Western dining in customized settings. Plus, Scenic Freechoice activities are available to highlight the local regions’ customs and cuisines.
