Sandals Royal Caribbean hosts sales team meetings for Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations

MONTEGO BAY — It was a meeting to remember for both Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations, which recently hosted their respective sales meetings in Jamaica.

Taking place at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, the meetings marked the first time since 2020 that the entire sales teams for both companies have come together for in-person strategy and planning sessions.

Said Maureen Barnes-Smith, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Unique Vacations Canada (affiliate of worldwide representatives of Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts): “The chance to host the full complement of sales teams from both Air Canada and Air Canada Vacations at Sandals was something that I simply could not pass up. I’m confident that our partnership has become even stronger following these extremely productive meetings in Jamaica.”

The Air Canada sales team held their meeting from Jan. 20-23, which was hosted by Lorna Richards, National Training Manager, Unique Vacations Canada. As a relatively new sales team, it marked the first visit to Jamaica for many in the group. During their visit, they participated in Sandals presentations, toured the flagship Sandals Montego Bay and conducted their own internal meetings.

The complete Air Canada Vacations sales team, led by Ana Paula De Souza, Director of Sales, convened at the resort from Jan. 29-Feb. 1. Hosted by Barnes-Smith, the group, including all Outside and Inside Sales team members, conducted comprehensive tours of Sandals resorts in Montego Bay and participated in a motivational presentation by Gary C. Sadler, Executive Vice President, Sales & Industry Relations, Unique Vacations Inc.

Both teams made significant contributions to The Sandals Foundation during their visits. The Air Canada team donated much-needed items that will go towards helping teenage mothers on the island, while the Air Canada Vacations team made generous donations through the Pack for a Purpose program.
