Royal Lahaina Resort will fill your clients with that Maui love

There is so much right with Kaanapali Beach on Maui that once your clients visit it may be hard for them to imagine vacationing anywhere else. There are a fair number of Canadian travellers who know this already, as they make the trip to Kaanapali’s shores year after year.

One of the oldest known hotels on Kaanapali Beach is the Royal Lahaina Resort. Its location is so ideal, it’s reason enough to suggest the property to first-time Kaanapali travellers or repeat visitors. But it’s Royal Lahaina Resort’s warm, Hawaiian ambience that will fill their hearts with Maui love.

The Royal Lahaina Resort offers a variety of room categories to fit a plethora of budgets, from standard hotel rooms in their Lahaina Kai Tower, to Cottage rooms and suites. Earlier this year my family took time at the Royal Lahaina resort. We arrived to walk into our Oceanfront Lanai Suite (located in the Lahaina Kai Tower) to panoramic views of the Pacific wrapping around our living area and bedroom. This combined with the Hawaiian style décor got my family and I in the Maui vibe in an instant.

We visited the resort during whale watching season, so of course, to top off the stellar views from our double lanai were mother and calf humpback whales breeching and playing together in the ocean (no joke). It was one of those vacation moments when you ask yourself if this is actually for real — a Maui experience that money can’t buy.

This wasn’t the only memorable experience we had at Royal Lahaina Resort. We spent a lazy afternoon going from beach to Royal Lahaina’s main pool and back again. The sun was beginning to set and the resort’s musician sang acoustic slow jams while we enjoyed a snack and a few beverages by the pool, the ocean waves crashing in the background. There were many families soaking this experience up just as much as we were, happy guests all around, including a large extended family sitting together at a table outside their oceanfront cottage, laughing over a game of cards as the music played on.

It was around that time I heard another group of guests talking about how they could hear humpbacks singing just by putting their ears in the ocean along Royal Lahaina’s stretch of beach. My husband and I had to see (or hear) this for ourselves, so we took turns getting into the water, lying our heads back so just our ears dipped under the sea and sure enough, a chorus of humpbacks on an afternoon serenade.

It was another vacation moment that won’t be forgotten, but even if it wasn’t the height of whale watching season on Maui, the laid-back atmosphere at Royal Lahaina Resort had already filled us up with memories.

It’s no surprise that Royal Lahaina Resort is the kind of property that doesn’t charge its guests a resort fee. It adds that home-away-from-home comfort to a resort that already feels like one. Royal Lahaina Resort also offers free in-room WiFi and promos that include 30% off Special Partial Ocean View rooms with six night minimum stays (rates from $185/night).

Agents interested in visiting the Royal Lahaina Resort can also take advantage of a 30% discount on available retail rates at the property, a good idea if you’d like to sell more of it.

And for agents selling the Royal Lahaina Resort, for every two bookings of three nights or more, they will receive a free night (no maximum). With a minimum of four bookings of three nights or more, agents can also earn daily buffet for two on top of free room nights. And with a minimum of six bookings of three nights or more agents will also earn two tickets to the Royal Lahaina Resort’s famous luau – The Myths of Maui Luau –which is a must-see experience in and of itself.
