TORONTO — The Cuba Tourist Board is organizing two new fam groups this fall, with registration open now.
Running from Oct. 17-24, 2023, the fams will take two separate travel agent groups to top destinations in Cuba. Group #1 will explore ‘Hidden Gems of Eastern Cuba, including: Holguin, Bayamo, Santiago de Cuba and Baracoa.’ Agents will learn more about these off-the-beaten-path city as alternatives for their clients, especially repeat-visitors who are seeking new experiences. Highlights of the program include visits to World Heritage sites, La Gran Piedra National Park, an excursion to Yumuri river and a tour of Baracoa. Agents will travel from Toronto (YYZ) to Holguin (HOG).
Group #2 will ‘Explore the stunning new destinations of Paredon Grande & Cayo Cruz, combined with the colonial beauty of Trinidad.’ Travel agents will explore the recently opened islands of Cayo Paredon Grande and Cayo Cruz, visit the charming town of Trinidad with its cobblestone streets and colonial buildings, and participate at ‘Destinos Gaviota,’ a fun-filled conference for tour operators and retailers organized by Gaviota Group. Other highlights include a catamaran cruise to Media Luna Key, and a visit to Trinidad’s ‘The Valley of Sugar Mills.’ Agents will travel from Toronto (YYZ) to Cayo Coco (CCC).
To qualify for these fams, travel agents must be TICO-registered and actively be selling Cuba.
