Porter inaugurates two more new Florida routes with start of Orlando service

TORONTO — Porter Airlines has taken to the skies for two new routes to Orlando International Airport (MCO).

Flights to Orlando are now operating from both Toronto Pearson International Airport and Ottawa International Airport with Porter.

Porter first announced its Florida plans back in August, with a total of five destinations in the Sunshine State added to Porter’s network this month. Flights to Tampa started on Nov. 1 and to Fort Myers on Nov. 10. Following the new Orlando routes out of both YYZ and YOW, Porter will also add Fort Lauderdale from both Toronto Pearson and Ottawa on Nov. 30, and Miami from Toronto on Dec. 12. All routes will operate with Porter’s new E195-E2 aircraft.

“Canadians are the most frequent international visitors to Florida, and Porter is proud to take off on two more routes into the Sunshine State,” said Kevin Jackson, EVP and CCO, Porter Airlines. “With Porter’s unrivaled level of comfort for economy travellers, our passengers can look forward to enjoying the journey and the destination.
