Plaza Premium Lounge re-opens in Vancouver with new look

VANCOUVER — The Plaza Premium Lounge in the International Departures at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) has re-opened with a whole new look and feel.

Located at the International Departures terminal of the airport, the lounge measures 6,700 sq ft, making it the largest pay-per-use lounge facility in Canada. The airport lounge is designed by Hong Kong designer, Kinney Chan from Kinney Chan & Associates, who introduces a sleek and modern design with various zones, also featuring Plaza Premium Lounge’s 5th generation design into the renovated space.

Song Hoi See, founder and CEO of Plaza Premium Lounge Management Limited, says, “We are excited to bring our latest generation lounge design to Vancouver. We have partnerships with many of the airlines providing flight service to Asia and Europe and we are certain their valued passengers will appreciate the distinctive design and luxurious amenities found within the lounge as will our many other guests who use the lounge.”

The lounge provides services such as Comfortable Seating, Private Resting Area (Nap Rooms), shower facilities with amenities and entertainment for guests to enjoy. Throughout the lounge, WiFi is enabled with fully-equipped computer workstations, offering guests the option of staying connected while they travel. One of the many special features is a VIP room which is an exclusively separate area, that can cater up to 17 guests who appreciate more privacy while in the lounge.

A new interactive dining concept is also introduced in the dining areas. Catering to those who enjoy variety, two separate dining areas present a range of international food and beverage options, from a salad bar and buffet area serving a range of healthy and sustainable food options, to a noodle bar serving Hong Kong-style Fish Ball Noodle Soup. The food concept is a first of its kind in Vancouver.
