Play at Palladium with Raggs program on track with live shows starting Nov. 1TORONTO — Young fans of the ‘Raggs’ live-action children’s television series will be able to see their favourite Raggs characters in new theatrical shows at Grand Palladium properties in Mexico and the Caribbean starting Nov. 1.

The 45-minute exclusive shows were announced earlier this year and yesterday ‘Raggs’ himself, the lead character of a group of five canine friends, appeared at trade events in Toronto to promote the new productions.

Shows will take place Friday nights starting Nov. 1 at Grand Palladium properties in Mexico, the D.R. and Jamaica, and add to a full lineup of Raggs-themed activities already in place including sing-a-longs by the pool, posing for photos at the beach, reading stories at the Mini-Club and special events like Breakfast with Raggs, Pido’s Surf Party on Sunday nights and the Kids’ Disco Party on Monday nights.

The extensive Kids’ Club programming at Palladium Hotels & Resorts properties in Mexico (Riviera Nayarit & Riviera Maya), Jamaica (where expansion plans are in the works) and the D.R. (Punta Cana) includes age-tiered activities, family-friendly suites and a special kids buffet and dietary menus. The company’s Kids’ Club in Punta Cana, ‘Castillo del Pirata’ is the largest in the Caribbean and Mexico.

The creator of Raggs, advertising executive Toni Steedman from Charlotte, NC, was at the media lunch yesterday. “We’ve played 4,000 live shows around the world. We’ve even played at the White House. Our touring and live show capabilities are really exceptional,” she said.

Play at Palladium with Raggs is just the latest new product from the all-inclusive chain, now with 47 hotels in six countries and re-branded from The Fiesta Hotel Group about a year ago. The company also offers Karen Bussen Signature Weddings and caters to families with its Grand Palladium properties and adults-only with its Royal Suites brand. See
