The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) has named Susie Grynol as its new PresidentOTTAWA — The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) has named Susie Grynol as its new President. Formerly Vice-President, Federal Government Relations for the Retail Council of Canada, she has more than 10 years of experience managing political affairs and public relations with a track record in overseeing complex industry issues.

Grynol takes over from Anthony Pollard who served as President for the past 25 years and retired this past September. She starts in her new role Oct. 17.

“We are delighted that Ms. Grynol will be joining the HAC as President and are fortunate to have someone with Susie’s talents, experience and breadth of knowledge join our industry,” said Philippe Gadbois, Chair of the HAC Board. “I look forward to working with Susie to ensure the industry’s needs and goals continue to be reached.”

The Hotel Association of Canada represents the more than 8,100 hotels, motels and resorts that make up Canada’s $17.5 billion hotel industry, which employs 288,000 people across Canada.
