TORONTO — Club Med has named Janet Martin to the position of Business Development Manager for Ontario, Alberta and B.C.

Martin has 16 years of experience in the tourism industry. After a stint in Mexico including two seasons in Huatulco and seven months as e-commerce and marketing manager at a resort in Manzanillo, Martin came back to Canada to work for several years as a Flight Centre travel agent.

She then worked as a BDM for Palace Resorts and Hard Rock All Inclusive Resorts for six years, followed by some time back at Flight Centre in the marketing department.

“And here I am, back on the road again, with this amazing brand that I’m so excited to be a part of!” says Martin. “Being a part of this work family is really going to broaden my travel industry learning experience, as Club Med has a huge portfolio of properties all over the world, with even more scheduled to open in the coming years. I’m thrilled to be a part of all of this, and can’t wait to spread my excitement of this brand through my new territory of Ontario, Alberta and B.C.”

Martin joins Jacinda Lowry’s sales team and will be based in Toronto. Lowry is National Sales Director for Club Med Canada.

Says Lowry: “Janet Martin’s arrival highlights our intention to continue developing the Ontario market more than we ever have, and have a stronger presence in Alberta and in B.C. Our goals can only be achieved with the support of the travel professionals, who are our privileged partners, and we know that Janet’s arrival will have an important impact on our business development in these regions.”
