Onkar Travels & Exotique Destination Weddings launch new brochures

TORONTO — Onkar Travels with its subsidiary Exotique Weddings, in business for 34 years, launched three new brochures at an evening function: ‘Incredible India’, ‘Incredible World Tours’ and ‘Exotique Weddings’.

Present at the event was Counsel General of India Akhilesh Mishra who conveyed his total support to the two companies and the travel operators and wedding planners present, and also said “If any of you have a problem that I can help with, please e-mail or contact me and I will personally take care of it.”

The Director of Tourism Anil Auro pointed to the fact that India has a vibrant economy and that half of its 1.3 billion people are under 25.

Jasveet Singh, Assistant Manager of Tours, said: India may not be a large country but if you travel 250 miles in any direction you will find a different culture, language religion and heritage. “I have to be reborn a few times to see all of India,” he said.

Rosalita Lawrence who heads Exotique Weddings shared a slide show presentation to depict: “Who we are and what we do.” She also encouraged the tour operators and wedding planners to seriously consider promoting India to their clients. “Your bridal couples are actually in a real palace lived in the past by Maharajas. They are stunning and beautiful,” she said.

Fabulous prizes were won by some of the guests which included airfare to India, two Golden Triangle Tours that include Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, and $1,100 gift vouchers for two for a bridal couple towards their destination wedding in India.
