One charged, one pleads guilty to operating as agent

Judy Jackson has been charged with four counts of operating as a travel agent without registration contrary to section 4(1)(a) of the Ontario Travel Industry Act, 2002. She operated in Toronto and elsewhere in Ontario. The first court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 15, 2015 at 9 a.m. at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Offences Court, located at 70 Centre Ave., Toronto. In another case, Kimberly Rourke plead guilty to one count of operating as a travel agent without registration, contrary to section 4(1)(a) of the Ontario Travel Industry Act, 2002. A fine of $6,000 was imposed. The fine is payable within two years. Rourke operated in Kitchener and elsewhere in Ontario.
