American Express GBT reveals next-gen online booking tool

Oceania Cruises launches free online training for agents

MIAMI — Oceania Cruises is launching the free online Oceania Cruises Sales Specialist Academy for travel agents.

The online portal – which is conveniently located within the Travel Agent Center of the Oceania Cruises website – has multiple tutorials designed to educate travel agents on features and amenities that make Oceania Cruises a leader in the upper-premium cruise segment.

The Academy’s first exclusive course, Oceania Cruises Sales Specialist, is a professionally-narrated web-based training program which provides an overview of the key hallmarks found on an Oceania Cruises vacation, including the “finest cuisine at sea, immersive destination experiences and impeccable personalized service aboard intimate, luxurious ships”.

Upon completing the self-guided course, an agent will be recognized as a certified Oceania Cruises Sales Specialist, earning an additional $200 bonus commission on their next booking made within a 12-month period and three $100 shipboard credit certificates they may gift to clients.

“Our partnership with travel agents is vital to us. We created the Oceania Cruises Sales Specialist Academy to provide our travel partners with an informational resource they can leverage when counseling their clients on choosing the perfect cruise,” said James Rodriguez, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Oceania Cruises. “We encourage all travel agents to explore this intuitive portal, earn certification and reap the rewards.”

The Oceania Cruises Sales Specialist Academy portal has several interactive sections:

  • Courses:  Provides information and access to certification training
  • Resources: Contains a wealth of reference materials, marketing tools and webinars
  • My Progress: Enables agents to easily return to a course, right where they left off
  • Graduate Center: Where earned rewards may be accessed and activated.

The first course, Oceania Cruises Sales Specialist, has eight chapters. The first four chapters provide information on Oceania Cruises ships, destinations and the line’s unique onboard experience. The remaining four chapters provide specific guidance on how to effectively sell Oceania Cruises to both new and existing clients.

Each chapter is accompanied by interactive quizzes. When all eight chapters are reviewed, travel agents who complete the final exam are eligible for certification and bonus rewards.

Travel agents can visit the Travel Agent Center on OceaniaCruises.com for more information or to take the free training course.
