North Carolina is looking for its first Dog Travel Agent

RALEIGH, NC — The travel industry is going to the dogs – literally.

Visit North Carolina has issued an open call for its very first ‘Dog Travel Agent’ to tell the world about the state’s pup-tastic destinations.

The campaign, which went live last week on National Dog Day, aims to drive travel to North Carolina among dogs and their humans.

To apply, adorable canines must create a one-minute Instagram video of their adventures in the state using the hashtag #choosemydoggo. Videos must also tag @VisitNC and be made public. Applicants must then submit their video link with their application by Sept. 15.

So what are some of the job perks for the winning pup? There are plenty! For one thing, their beloved human will receive a travel stipend for four active trips to hike mountains, explore parks and surf waves. Plus, the winner will receive a GoPro camera and harness to record all of their adventures across the state.

Applicants must be a dog (duh) and, along with their human, live in North Carolina. To apply, go to https://www.visitnc.com/dog-travel-agent.

Good luck to all applicants, and remember to stay pawsitive!
