Nexion Canada goes West to meet new travel agents and host an exclusive FAM

LONDON, ON — Nexion Canada recently completed a five-day trip through Western Canada to greet travel agents new to Nexion Canada, connect them with experienced agents, and provide all participants with experiences to help grow their businesses.

Members of Nexion Canada’s headquarters staff, along with six Nexion Canada agents, travelled to Calgary and Banff, then enjoyed a rail trip with Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver where they received a tour of Holland America Line’s ms Volendam. Along the way, there were opportunities for agents to meet and network with their colleagues in the region.

This was the first-ever Nexion Canada exclusive road show and FAM experience.

“With the growth of Nexion Canada over the past few years, we wanted to create an incredibly valuable experience for our travel agents that would give them insights into our programs against the dramatic backdrop of the popular Canadian West,” said Esther Roemmele, General Manager of Nexion Canada. “By welcoming our new agents into the family, we were also able to connect them with experienced agents and experiences that would aid their businesses. The level of engagement among all participants exceeded our expectations.”

One of the high points of the trip for Nexion Canada agents was experiencing firsthand Rocky Mountaineer’s product from Banff to Vancouver. Participants received GoldLeaf Service aboard the train where they rode in a bi-level, glass-domed coach with unparalleled panoramic views and an exclusive outdoor vestibule in the lower level. Along the route, members crossed the Continental Divide, experienced the famed spiral tunnels, enjoyed the views at Rogers Pass and Craigellachie, which is where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven.

“The recent Western Canada trip was fantastic. I had so much fun and truly enjoyed every minute of the first class experience with GoldLeaf Service aboard the Rocky Mountaineer,” said Bernadette Parrott, Nexion Canada agent and owner of Quesnel Escapes Travel Services. “Because of the amazing opportunity to personally experience Rocky Mountaineer’s First Passage West, I’ve already reached out to our local Rocky Mountaineer Station Manager and discussed how to promote Quesnel and Rocky Mountaineer in order to grow my business. Meeting other agents and connecting with Nexion Canada staff gave me new insights, ideas and strategies that will help me expand my business.”

“Because of the success of our exclusive, inaugural Nexion Canada road show, we are already planning similar trips in other parts of Canada,” added Roemmele. “The success of this event was driven by the ability of our agents to connect with one another, and their openness in sharing ideas and best practices. The impact this had on all our travel agents – whether experienced or new to Nexion Canada – proves we found a winning formula and we can’t wait to do more of them across the country.”
