TORONTO — G Adventures has named Ana Santa Maria to the position of Global Purpose Specialist, Alberta.

She joins the company from Flight Centre where she spent three years as a travel agent.

Based in Calgary, Santa Maria is responsible for growing G Adventures’ presence in Alberta, supporting agent partners in the market, and working with the community to create new business opportunities.

She joins a team of seven other Global Purpose Specialists across Canada.

G Adventures’ former Alberta GPS, Gary Armstrong, is now supporting agent partners in eastern and northern Ontario, he adds.

Santa Maria was born in Mexico City and is fluent in Spanish. She has visited 33 countries and says Hanoi, Puebla and Pamplona are her favourite cities. “I am immensely excited for this new chapter with such an incredible and inspiring team, and I am so proud to be working with a Canadian company that thrives on changing people’s lives through travel,” says Santa Maria.
