New Budapest route extends Air Canada rouge’s Central Europe expansion

MONTREAL — Air Canada rouge’s nonstop seasonal service between Toronto and Budapest, operating three-times a week, is now underway. Flight AC1910 from Toronto-Pearson arrived at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport on June 11.

“We are pleased to add Budapest, a city rich in heritage along the banks of the Danube, to our growing international network,” said Benjamin Smith, President, Passenger Airlines. “The new service makes Air Canada the carrier operating the most seats between the Hungarian capital and North America.

Budapest is the second of three Central European destinations Air Canada will introduce this summer.  Prague flights launched May 29 while flights to Warsaw start June 14.

The Budapest flights are operating on Air Canada rouge B767-300ERs with Premium Rouge and economy cabins.  Flights leave Toronto Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and return Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The service is scheduled to operate until Oct. 15.
