Muskoka getaway new from The Ascend Hotel Collection

SEVERN BRIDGE, ON — The Ascend Hotel Collection has opened a new property in the picturesque Muskoka region.

On the shores of Sparrow Lake, The Bayview Wildwood Resort is a full-service four seasons resort catering to families, couples, corporate retreats, conferences, meetings and special events such as weddings, reunions and receptions.

The Ascend Hotel Collection is a network of upscale resorts, historic properties and boutique hotels that offer guests “a uniquely local experience”.

The Bayview Wildwood Resort is the 16th property in Choice Hotels Canada’s Ascend Hotel Collection. The resort offers families an all-inclusive style of stay, including meals and accommodation.

Package options include the ‘Girls Weekend’, as well as partnering with local operators for specialty weekend packages such as golf and fishing. Catering to business clientele as well, the resort provides a variety of corporate meeting package options.

The resort offers varied accommodations, including suites, rooms and cottages with full kitchens. Guest rooms include free WiFi, microwaves and refrigerators and 42” flat screen TVs. Select rooms have private lake view balconies and separate living and sleeping areas.

Onsite amenities include a dining room with lake views, The Echo Dining Lounge. Hotel activities include badminton, bicycle rentals, billiards, kayaking & canoeing, tennis, cross-country skiing, shuffleboard, volleyball, and a sandy beach with water park. There are also two pools (indoor and outdoor) and a fitness room.

An hour and a half’s drive from Toronto, the hotel is located in Severn Bridge, 15 minutes from Highway 11, within reach of attractions including Casino Rama, the Orillia Museum, the Stephen Leacock Museum, the Orillia Fairgrounds and the Orillia Famers Market.
