MSC Meraviglia guests get first look at MSC’s Port Info service

GENEVA — MSC Cruises’ new Port Info service is now available onboard MSC Meraviglia. The new platform is designed to help passengers discover and explore more of each destination through complimentary expert advice and information.

MSC says the Port Info service was developed through collaboration with local authorities and tourism boards, ensuring guests receive the most accurate and up-to-date information, key local insights and ‘must-see’ attractions. It will offer personal, tailored and expert information on what to see, where to eat, where to visit and how to get there. It will also help guests book local transportation (train tickets, taxis or a car service) and assist in creating private tours.

Onboard MSC crew members have also been trained by local experts to be able to offer tailored information and advice from personal experience.

MSC Cruises has also added 19 new shore excursions to its Mediterranean itineraries, five of which are exclusive to MSC Cruises guests onboard MSC Meraviglia.

These tours include:

  • Italy’s largest aquarium in Genoa
  • Messina, Italy’s best sights including the Cristo Re Church, ‘Piazza del Duomo’, and its golden Bell Tower, and the nearby Cathedral.
  • An experience of Italy like a local in Naples, with authentic Neopolitan pizza
  • The world’s first and only museum dedicated to Iberian Ham in Barcelona
  • Local tastes and sights in Malta, with a coach drive to Vittoriosa, one of the Three Historic Cities.
