MSC Cruises announces new partnership with Guinness World Records

GENEVA — MSC Cruises has announced a ‘record-breaking’ partnership with none other than Guinness World Records.

As part of the new partnership, guests will be able to enjoy awe-inspiring live shows and even get the chance to break a Guinness World Record. While cruising at sea, they’ll be invited to audition for the grand evening show during which lucky finalists will demonstrate their talents and aim to become the next world record holder.

“We’re always on the hunt for new and engaging concepts for our guests. This partnership provides unique and enriching entertainment at the highest level and we look forward to continuing to offer a dynamic range of exciting experiences for guests of all ages,” said Steve Leatham, Global Head of Entertainment at MSC Cruises.

Marco Frigatti, SVP Consultancy at Guinness World Records, added: “There’s no better way to bring the magic of Guinness World Records to life than to host a live show like this. Families exploring the world on an MSC cruise can explore the incredible world of record-breaking at the same time – and even become a part of it too!”

Guinness World Records activities are now available onboard MSC Seascape and MSC World Europa, as well as the highly anticipated MSC Euribia, MSC’s newest flagship debuting this June.

Highlights include:

  • The Records Show, an onboard version of the Guinness World Records TV show featuring a range of record-breaking activities for guests to participate in
  • Children’s programs, including entertaining challenges, quizzes and educational shows designed for both young guests and teenagers
  • Guinness World Records Facts will invite guests to participate in an exciting trivia challenge to test their knowledge of various records
  • Guinness World Records Family Quiz allows the whole family to join in on the fun by using live challenges and video races

Any new record breakers will be verified by a GWR Official Adjudicator and awarded a Guinness World Records certificate.
