Maritime Travel wins Canada’s Best Managed Companies’ Platinum Club award

HALIFAX — It’s another platinum win for Maritime Travel, which has been awarded a Platinum Club award by Canada’s Best Managed Companies.

As a Platinum Club winner, the Halifax-based travel company ranks among the best-in-class of Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $50 million, demonstrating leadership in strategy, capabilities and innovation, culture and commitment, and financials to achieve sustainable growth. Winners must maintain Best Managed status for a minimum of six consecutive years.

Maritime Travel has been recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Platinum Club for 17 consecutive years. Prior to that, it had been named one of Canada’s Best Managed companies since 1998.

“This year’s award is especially meaningful as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, which saw a virtual shutdown of the worldwide travel industry for two years,” said Gary Gaudry, President of Maritime Travel. “Now, more than ever, we owe our success in achieving this award to the dedication of our branch teams across the country. Our knowledgeable, caring staff on the front lines, together with state-of-the-art technology and operations, have been instrumental.”

Canada’s Best Managed Companies, established in 1993, is one of Canada’s leading business awards programs, with hundreds of companies competing for the designation every year. Applicants are evaluated by an independent judging panel on how they address various business challenges, including new technologies, globalization, brand management, leadership, leveraging and developing core competencies, designing information systems, and hiring talent to facilitate growth.

This year’s winners will be honoured at galas across Canada. For more information go to www.bestmanagedcompanies.ca.
