Major prizes up for grabs this week at the Learning Centre

TORONTO — Travel agents are urged to complete two Learning Centre courses and be entered to win prizes worth over $4,000.

The Italy Specialist Program and Imagine Your Korea Specialist Program are both coming to an end of their prizing period soon. Prizes valued at a total of $4,200 are up for grabs, meaning agents must complete the courses soon to be entered to win.

Italy is giving away three gift cards worth $400 each, while Korea is gifting agents who complete the course a $20 Amazon gift card, plus two grand prizes for $500 each.

Both courses highlight everything agents need to know to sell each destination so that they’ll be ready to sell once borders reopen. Topics include major cities and regions, top attractions, local cuisine and popular activities.

“The Italian National Tourist Board has officially launched the Italy Specialist Course that will educate and inform agents beyond the well-known destinations like Rome, Florence, Venice, the Amalfi Coast, Cinque Terre and Sicily,” says the Tourist Board. “Each unit showcases the uniqueness of what Italy has to offer and the unparalleled diversity of its traditions, food and wine and landscape. Through the course, you will be exploring every region in Italy.”

By taking the Imagine Your Korea Specialist Program, agents will learn what sets Korea apart from its neighbours, including its history, culture, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the DMZ.

Plus, the travel tips section “will help agents prepare themselves for questions from consumers about the destination and make it easier to sell the destination whether or not they have visited Korea,” says Randy Snape, National Marketing Manager, Korea Tourism Organization.
