Lynx Air announces first U.S. flights

CALGARY — Lynx Air has set its sights on the United States with its first U.S. flights set to take off in early 2023.

The ultra-affordable Canadian airline, which celebrated its official launch in April 2022, has announced the addition of Orlando, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Las Vegas to its network, which up until now included only Canadian cities.

Orlando will be the airline’s first U.S. destination, with flighst taking off from Toronto starting Jan. 27, 2023. Lynx’s U.S. network will continue to expand over the following weeks, launching services out of Calgary to Phoenix on Feb. 7, 2023, Los Angeles on Feb. 16, 2023, and Las Vegas on Feb. 24, 2023. At that point, the airline will be operating 5,292 seats per week to and from the United States from its Toronto and Calgary hubs.

Schedules and frequencies are as follows:

  • Toronto-Orlando starting Jan. 23, 2023, 4x/weekly
  • Calgary-Phoenix starting Feb. 7, 2023, 3x/weekly
  • Calgary-Los Angeles starting Feb. 16, 2023, 3x/weekly
  • Calgary-Las Vegas starting Feb. 24, 2023, 4x/weekly

Tickets are now on sale, with fares starting at $109 one way, including taxes.
