KLM launches new promotion to celebrate first King’s Day

MONTRÉAL — KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will be marking King’s Day in the Netherlands with promotional fares starting at $949 or $999 on Economy class flights to Amsterdam.

These fares apply to departures from Montréal, Toronto and Ottawa, and for a $150 supplement, Calgary and Vancouver as well with departures May 7 to June 18, Sept. 11 to Dec. 10 and Dec. 25 to May 6.

The promotion runs from April 23 until April 28, 2014.

These fares apply to economy class seating. A complimentary inflight meal, breakfast or snack is served in every seat class, along with alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages.

The Netherlands will be celebrating the first King’s Day on Saturday April 26, 2014. Formerly known as Queen’s Day during the reign of Queen Beatrix, the day is now in honour of her son, King Willem-Alexander, who ascended to the throne on April 30, 2013.
