Italian National Tourist Board launches Italy Specialist Program

TORONTO – The Italian National Tourist Board has officially launched their Learning Centre program to educate and inform agents about some of the most popular tourist destinations in the world – Rome, Venice, Florence, Amalfi and many more. Additionally, agents who successfully complete the course are entered for a chance to win one of four $400 VISA gift cards!

Why Italy is a great destination?

Italy’s iconic beauty is made up of countless layers of history, microclimates that range from the Alps to the warm waters of the Mediterranean, an unmatched diversity of local food and wines, and a wealth of resources and interests that will surpass the expectations of travellers coming from any walk of life.

Why education on the destination is important?

Italy’s success cannot be explained without the constant effort put in place by thousands of travel professionals, supporting Canadians to select their Italian destinations and help them find the best options available.

There is an important difference between those travellers who are lucky enough to find an ideal combination of successful elements, and other consumers who have been supported by agents and other industry professionals to provide a high quality experience.

What agents can expect to learn from the course?

The course will provide ideas and information beyond the well-known destinations like Rome, Florence, Venice, the Amalfi Coast, and Cinque Terre. More Canadians are ready to visit and discover areas that are less exposed in popular culture, and represent a great value and an important opportunity in the coming years.

Cities such as Bologna, Rimini, Ivrea (recently awarded the designation of UNESCO site), and regions such as Sardinia, Molise, Marche, Trentino are less travelled and in shoulder seasons offer ideal conditions for a vacation in a less crowded environment.
