TORONTO — In a move that reflects its dedication to the agent community, Intrepid Group has extended its hours of operations and will now service travel agents 24/7.
The new system will connect Intrepid’s North American sales office in Toronto and Petaluma, California with regional sales teams in London and Melbourne. This will allow agents to reach out directly to a reservations agent for client bookings or questions on over 1,500 Intrepid Group itineraries around the world.
According to an official company statement, creating a “global system” will allow agents to service client requests at all hours of the day and significantly reduce call wait times.
“Intrepid Group has a customer-first mentality, which extends not only to our travellers but to our agent community,” said Leigh Barnes, Director of Intrepid Group in North America.
In addition to a 24/7 phone line, the company has added a Live Chat to their site that will be serviced by a North American Digital Sales team. The Live Chat feature is currently available for the Intrepid Travel brand and will create a direct two-way communication between the reservations team and travel agents.
“Live Chat was an important addition for us to give agents another channel and option for communicating with our team,” added Barnes. “The Intrepid experience starts from the very first point of contact right up until the end of a client’s adventure and beyond. We want to help ensure this process is as seamless as possible for travel agents in Canada.”
