TORONTO — Hurtigruten will be offering three special Expedition Voyages along the Norwegian Coast this fall.
GLP Worldwide Expedition Travel and Tours is the Canadian representative for Hurtigruten. The voyages are priced from Can$1,650 per person based on double occupancy.
“These Expedition Voyages are suited to more active travellers who want to truly explore and discover the destination through its people, landscape and culture,” says Alan Law, director of sales and marketing for GLP Worldwide Expedition Travel and Tours.
The three special Expedition Voyages take place on Oct. 22, 2015 (aboard the MS Nordkapp), Nov. 2, 2015 (MS Nordlys) and Nov. 19, 2015 (MS Nordnorge) and are available on 6-, 7-, and 12-day sailings.
Expedition Voyages showcase a new voyage concept for Hurtigruten that will begin formally in January 2016 and offer additional opportunities to explore the spectacular coastline and culture in a more active and informative way.
Hurtigruten has 120-plus years of experience operating in polar waters from Antarctica to the coast of Norway. On each of these special voyages there will be a full expedition team on board every sailing with extensive knowledge of the history and geography of these coastal waters. They will lead daily excursions and adventures all in the pursuit of special discoveries. Back on board there will be lectures from the expert guides.
Hurtigruten’s new Northern Lights Promise will be valid on the 12-day itineraries of the Expedition Voyages. This promise offer guests the choice of a free seven-day Classic Voyage North, or six-day Classic Voyage South departing between October 2016 and March 2017 should the Northern Lights not appear.
