Hurtigruten launches limited-time offer for solo travellers

SEATTLE — Solo travellers have just four days to take advantage of Hurtigruten’s Singles Day offer, which waives the single supplement to some of the world’s most exotic destinations.

From Nov. 10-14, single guests can book select cruises with either Hurtigruten Expeditions or Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Express without the single supplement, to destinations such as Antarctica, Central America, the Galapagos, Iceland, Norway and South America.

According to Storm Tussey-Haverly, Interim President, Hurtigruten Americas, research has shown that 45% of solo travellers set out to discover new cultures, something the cruise line easily offers.

“Hurtigruten sails to some of the most unique and beautiful destinations in the world, including the Galapagos, Antarctica and Norway,” he said. “These are bucket-list destinations for most travellers and also where a lot of single travellers go. Our cruises are designed to provide guests the opportunity to explore and immerse themselves in the places they visit.”

Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Express allows guests to explore the Norwegian coastline in a non-touristy way. The scenic route, often described as “the most beautiful journey in the world,” takes guests to charming coastal towns and mesmerizing fjords. Coastal cruises also offer a variety of activities, including hiking, boat tours and horseback riding.

Hurtigruten Expeditions is the world’s largest expedition cruise line, featuring a fleet of seven small-size, custom-build ships including the world’s first battery-hybrid powered cruise ships. It sails to over 30 countries and more than 250 destinations.
