Holland America expands sales team with new promotions

SEATTLE — Holland America Line has announced several new appointments to its sales team.

Rob Coleman has been promoted to the newly created position of vice president, charter, incentive and series partnerships.

Cathy Larson and Lucy Owen have both been named directors of field sales, with Larson overseeing the western territory of North America and Owen taking on the east.

All three – Coleman, Larson and Owen – will report to Michelle Sutter, vice president of North America Sales.

“Rob, Cathy and Lucy have been tremendous assets to Holland America Line’s sales team for many years, and their expertise in their respective areas makes them well suited to take on these elevated roles,” said Sutter. “With more than 60 years of combined time at Holland America Line, they are well positioned to lead their teams as we continue to build relationships with our trade partners.”

In his new role, Coleman will build alliances with charterers, incentive groups and the company’s large portfolio of series operators and wholesalers. Most recently, he served as senior director, charter and incentive sales where he applied his knowledge in finance, operations and sales to expand the charter portfolio. Coleman first joined Holland America in 1999 as an inside sales representative.

Larson’s new role as director of field sales, west, follows her more recent appointment of regional sales manager, where she has been leading her team of business development managers in the western United States and Canada. She joined Holland America in 1992 as a district sales manager, and has for decades been building relationships with the travel advisor community in the business development role. Her love of Alaska helped her grow her Midwest territory into one of the highest producing for Alaska Cruisetours in North America.

In her new role as director of field sales, east, Owen will further strengthen Holland America’s trade partnerships and business development. Most recently, she served as regional sales manager where she supported the eastern region of the U.S. and Canada. Owen first joined the cruise line in 2014 as a business development manager responsible for a primary southeast territory. She also spent 15 years at sister brand Princess Cruises as district sales manager and manager national accounts.
