TORONTO — New data from First in Service Travel shows the top cities by region booked by Canadian F1S travel advisors.

Among all destinations worldwide, Italy was the “singular standout favourite” according to F1S, with 35% of Canadian F1S travel advisors indicating it was their most booked destination of the year.

Within Italy, F1S advisors cited Tuscany and Lake Como (23% each), followed by Florence, Puglia and Rome (12% each) as the top draws.

Canadian F1S travel advisors were also asked to name their single most-booked destination across nine regions.

Here’s a look at the results …

North America

• Mexico (28%), 11% of F1S advisors specifically named Puerto Vallarta
• Florida, Hawaii and New York (11% each)

Central America

• Costa Rica (50%)

Caribbean

• Dominican Republic (22% each)
• Bahamas and St. Barts (11% each)

South America

• Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Colombia (11% each)

Europe

• Italy (50%)
• Greece and Portugal (11% each)

Africa

•  Kenya and South Africa (17% each)
• Tanzania (11%)

Middle East

• United Arab Emirates (22%); 17% of F1S advisors specifically named Dubai

Asia

• Japan (44%)

South Pacific

• Australia (11%)
