TORONTO — Jan LaPointe has been named Director Sales & Marketing for North America for Haven Resorts & Spas.
LaPointe is a familiar name in the Canadian travel industry. For more than 16 years she was part of the AMResorts leadership team, most recently as VP Strategic Sales Planning North America, AMRewards, Sales & Marketing Canada.
She had an integral role in the development of six of the company’s brands, including Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts, Secrets Resorts & Spas, Dreams Resorts & Spas, Now Resorts & Spas and Sunscape Resorts & Spas.
In summer 2019 LaPointe joined VoX International. VoX has been tapped by Haven Resorts & Spas to provide brand sales & marketing throughout North America.
In her new role, backed by more than 30 years of experience in the travel industry, LaPointe will be responsible for leading Haven’s sales & marketing initiatives in Canada and the U.S., together with Florian Connert, Haven’s Senior Director of Sales & Marketing.
Part of LaPointe’s mandate is developing new programs for both consumers and travel agents for Haven Resorts & Spas, as well as working closely with distribution partners in North America.

The luxury all-suite, all-inclusive adults-only Haven Riviera Cancun, the first property in the Haven Resorts & Spas portfolio, opened in October 2018. The resort is part of Preferred Hotels & Resort’s L.V.X collection. A new convention centre is scheduled for fall 2020, plus an extra 104 guest suites.
