LUCERNE — The 20th edition of Switzerland Travel Mart (STM) in Lucerne is off to a great start, with over 800 tour operators, Swiss suppliers and media in attendance from over 50 countries.
Taking place from Oct. 20-23, the annual event includes 20-minute, pre-scheduled business appointments that allow delegates to network and increase sales of Swiss travel products and services.

Switzerland offers Canadian travellers a wide range of activities such as outdoor activities including hiking and skiing, chic and sophisticated city breaks in world-class cities like Zurich, plenty of culinary and wine experiences, an abundance of wellness and spa options and tons of recreational options, all situated in the beautiful Alps.
Lucerne, for example, sits on Lake Lucerne and is surrounded by impressive mountain peaks. It offers visitors shopping, mountain excursions and a charming old town with landmarks such as the medieval Chapel Bridge and the Museggmauer wall. The town of 83,000 people is excited to host STM this year.
This year’s travel mart award Goway with the Gold Flower Award for its innovative Switzerland products, professionalism and outstanding cooperation in connection with the promotion and sales of tours to the destination.
Goway Travel was represented by Craig Canvin, Vice President UK-Europe. The tour operator perfectly combines the trends of sustainability, immersive travel and pre- and post-river cruise stays in Switzerland.
