Agent sales, marketing training program available on Carnival passport

MIAMI — All 11 modules of Carnival Cruise Line’s sales and marketing training series are now available on Carnival Passport, the line’s travel agent training portal.

Designed to provide travel agents with a variety of proven strategies they can easily implement to help grow their business, the 11 topics include: Asking Questions, Listening Skills, Qualifying Sales, Closing the Sale, Group Sales, Developing a Marketing Plan, Building Relationships, Building Group Business, Branding and Networking, Social Media and Overcoming Objections.

“Our collection of sales and marketing tutorials provide agents with quick, practical and easy-to-apply tips that can take their business performance to the next level,” said Carnival’s Vice President of Trade Sales & Marketing Adolfo Perez. “Time and time again travel agents have told us about the importance of having access to effective online training resources and this series features dozens of tried and true tactics from highly successful travel agents, which makes the modules especially useful.”

“The sales and marketing tutorials really helped me build my confidence when selling Carnival to my clients,” said Kim Walters, travel agency manager for U.S. Tours, Inc. “With each tutorial I completed, I was able to immediately apply the methods learned and see results in my sales.”

The line recently increased the amount of credits agents may earn for completing tutorials within Carnival Passport. This increase will help agents complete the six levels within Carnival Passport faster as they accumulate points toward earning a complimentary Seminar at Sea cruise from Carnival. Agents may earn 50 credits in Carnival Passport and 50 points in the Travel Agent Rewards Program for completing each tutorial.

Tutorials last between five and 30 minutes.
