Forty education, networking events slated for Ensemble conference in Orlando

NEW YORK — Ensemble Travel Group members will have more than 40 professional development and networking opportunities to choose from at the 2015 Ensemble Travel Group International Conference set for Oct. 25-29 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.

Topics range from selling to the affluent and determining the value of your agency to cruise hosting and time management. In addition, an executive supplier panel will tackle tough industry issues and trends on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Moderated by industry veteran Jeff Drew, panelists include Alex Zozaya, CEO of Apple Leisure Group; Dan Mahar, CEO of Tauck; Bob Somers, vice president global sales of Delta Air Lines; and Vicki Freed, senior vice president sales, of Royal Caribbean International.

Conference keynote speaker Anthony Bourdain, Emmy-winning chef and host of CNN’s Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, has already created a buzz among members and suppliers. In his message ‘Travel Changes You’, Bourdain will share his insights into the cultures, food and current events gained from his worldwide travels. Sponsored by Holland America Line and Princess Cruises, the keynote speech is set for Monday morning, Oct. 26. A future press release will detail additional conference speakers.

Designed around the theme ‘Beyond Boundaries’, this year’s conference explores a variety of ways for Ensemble members to look beyond the norm, the usual and the expected to become more successful.

“When planning the program, our goal was to feature thought-provoking speakers and high-energy activities that will help members transform their business in ways they never thought possible,” said Libbie Rice, co-president of Ensemble Travel Group. “We think members will be excited with the new lineup of presenters, expanded focus on luxury, experiential products and partners and more networking time throughout. In fact, registration is pacing ahead of prior years, which indicates a conference program that truly meets their needs and interests.”

Ensemble Travel Group members can register for conference via the Ensemble Extranet.
