Flight Centre Travel Group’s Emma Jupp set to retire

MONTVALE, NJ — Emma Jupp, who spent 25 years with Flight Centre Travel Group, has announced her retirement this coming June.

First starting with the company in 1996 in the very first Flight Centre shop in Canada, Jupp went on to hold several roles including Vice President of Product & Distribution for Flight Centre in both Canada and in the United States. In 2008, she transferred to London, U.K. as Managing Director of Flight Centre-owned BackRoads Touring Co. Ltd. Two years later, she relocated back to North America as Senior Vice President of Product & Distribution, followed by President of the retail brands for Liberty Travel & Flight Center USA. In 2016, Jupp relocated to Toronto to commence her current role of Executive Vice President, Product & Distribution for the Americas.

Now on the cusp of a new life chapter, Jupp says she looks forward to a future free of meetings and emails, and more time to spend with her family and travel overseas.

“I’m forever grateful to FCTG for a genuinely incredible career and having made many lifelong friends within Flight Centre and the industry,” she says.

On Jupp’s many contributions to the company over the years, Charlene Leiss, President, FCTG Americas said: “It’s truly the end of an era at FCTG the Americas. Emma personifies all the very best attributes of the company and has been a shining example of what opportunities are available through hard work, tenacity and commitment. She has set an extremely high bar that all of us here aspire to and will be deeply missed by colleagues at all levels.”
