TORONTO — Beaches Resorts is launching fitness classes for children at its resorts in Jamaica and Turks & Caicos.
Kids can now participate in yoga, water aerobics and boot camp classes, including:
- Kids Yoga – These classes explore breathing exercises, visual imagery and relaxation techniques while conveying lessons in self-expression, body image, social skills, positive thinking and environmental awareness. Physically, the class will enhance kids’ flexibility, strength, coordination and body awareness. Classes will be taught by qualified yoga instructors and tailored to age and ability. Parents will also be encouraged to join in the fun with their little yogis.
- Splish-Splash – This water aerobics class will offer intensive physical stimulation for children. Kids have fun splashing in the water while benefitting from cardiovascular activity.
- Kids Boot Camp – A high energy fun-filled exercise class for kids, this class strives to increase the overall health and fitness level of children in a fun, safe and motivating environment by utilizing obstacle courses, fitness games, partner activities, body weight exercises, circuits and more.
The classes are for ages three and over and last from 30-45 minutes, depending on the age group. For more information visit beaches.com.
