PUNTA CANA — Excellence Group Luxury Hotels and Resorts has announced plans to open a second property under its Finest Resorts brand.

Set to open its doors in the first half of 2020, Finest Punta Cana will be the third Excellence Group property in the D.R, expanding the company’s presence in the region.

Excellence Group says the new resort will mark “a new standard for all-inclusive, non-age-restricted luxury, catering to romantic getaways, nuptial celebrations, rejuvenating holidays, and options for both adults and couples with children.”

Finest Punta Cana will have 450 suites, including 60 family suites, that will range from 800 to 2,000 square feet. Hallmarks of the brand including oversized jacuzzis, fully stocked in-room premium bars, private pools, rooftop terraces and family-designed suites will be in full effect.

There will also be “at least” 20 bars and restaurants, and private club settings in the Excellence Club for those seeking adults-only relaxation.

Other amenities will include a Finest Club for all ages, spa with hydrotherapy circuit, six swimming pools complete with a children’s pool and baby wading pool, and a playground and pavilion for children and teens.

Finest Punta Cana will be a sister property to the first resort under the Finest flag, Mexico’s Finest Playa Mujeres.

Surrounded by a palm grove and bordering the Caribbean Sea, Finest Punta Cana will be located on the D.R.’s east coast, about 35 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport and 75 minutes from La Romana International Airport.
