TORONTO — FCTG’s Independent Division is counting down the days until its first-ever global conference, set to take place in Santiago, Chile from May 1-4, 2024.

Expected to welcome approximately 500 travel advisors, staff and sponsors from Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, the conference will include individual country days, a supplier expo, plus plenary sessions and events.

“We cannot wait to gather in Santiago for our very first global independent conference,” says Danielle Galloway, Global Managing Director, FCTG Independent and Luxury Divisions. “As the only truly global independent network, we believe the opportunity to bring everyone together is too special to pass up. We hope to make this an annual event for our international community of leading travel advisors and agency owners.”

Anita Emilio, VP & GM of Luxury and Independent Brands in Canada, adds: “Canada’s participation in the FCTG Independent Division’s inaugural global conference in Santiago, Chile presents a remarkable opportunity for our independent advisors aligned with our business. Bringing together travel agency owners and mobile advisors from around the world, this event will facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the creation of invaluable connections. We firmly believe it will open new horizons for all our independent advisors and agency owners here in Canada.”

The FCTG Independent team will start connecting its network of global independent advisors this November at its inaugural ‘Independent Icons’ trip, a reward for its top 10 agencies and agents from each country. This year, the company will be chartering a Uniworld ship to sail from Budapest to Vienna.
