Ensemble to partner with new Carnival brand Fathom

NEW YORK — Ensemble Travel Group and Fathom are entering a partnership designed to expand Ensemble members’ ability to provide authentic social impact travel experiences for their clients.

Fathom, the newest brand in the Carnival Corporation family, will pioneer meaningful, purpose-driven travel for clients looking to give back and make a lasting social impact such as purpose-driven millennials, mindful families, adults 50+ and multi-generational families.

Beginning in April 2016, Fathom will offer roundtrip voyages from Miami to the Dominican Republic aboard the flagship 710-passenger Adonia, and in May 2016, the company intends to begin offering roundtrip voyages from Miami to Cuba (Fathom is the first company to be granted sailing rights between the U.S. and Cuba).

“It is an honour for Fathom to become a preferred supplier with this dynamic network of 850 top-tier, independent travel agencies – we are both overjoyed and grateful to join the Ensemble family,” said Tara Russell, president of Fathom. “Fathom is a different kind of cruise that combines your love of travel with your desire to make a difference. We are eager for Ensemble’s members and customers to become immersed in the Fathom experience to learn, serve and flourish while making enduring, sustainable societal contributions.”

According to Ensemble Co-President Libbie Rice, Fathom has opened up a whole new segment for both first-time and experienced cruisers. “We’re thrilled to be one of the first trade partners on a national level with Fathom and see tremendous opportunities as this unique impact travel concept launches. The product has great potential for group development among service/mission/community groups that may be new to cruising, has a strong appeal to millennials who look to travel with purpose, and touches the soul of multi-generational cruisers who will cherish an authentic family experience,” said Rice. “More and more consumers want to ‘make meaning’ with their travels, and now our members have an exciting new product that answers this need.”

As part of the new relationship, Fathom will conduct extensive product training for Ensemble members at the 2015 Ensemble Travel Group International Conference set for Oct. 25-29 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.
