Ensemble nearly doubles ‘Off the Beaten Path’ properties in hotel collectionTORONTO — Ensemble Travel Group has nearly doubled the number of ‘Off the Beaten Path’ properties in its just-released annual Ensemble Hotel & Resort Collection directory.

This sampling of lesser-known hotel is designed to appeal to Ensemble members’ clients who are seeking unusual accommodations as part of the experiential travel adventure.

Introduced in 2014, this year’s unique offerings feature 44 Off the Beaten Path standouts, many of which are published in conjunction with a select group of Ensemble On Location partners operating in unique areas around the globe. Among the unique properties in this special section: Finch Bay Eco Hotel in the heart of the Galapagos; Tree of Life Resort & Spa in the scenic Aravilla Hills of Jaipur, India; and Dar Ahlam, a 19th century Kasbah in Soura, Morocco.

In all, Ensemble’s ‘The Art of Luxury’ annual directory features more than 600 four- and five-star hotels located in some of the most desirable travel destinations in the world. According to Suzanne Hall, senior director, land supplier partnerships/Ensemble Hotel & Resort Collection, the directory is a key component in the organization’s strategy to help members deliver travel experiences to their clients on a deeper emotional and more personal level.

“The properties we’ve selected for our program offer much more than a place to spend the night. Whether it’s the unique architecture, connection with the local culture and surroundings, critically-acclaimed dining, or over-the-top guest suites, we partner with individual properties and hotel groups that can really deliver that meaningful experience,” said Hall, who welcomed a number of new lodging partners to the 2015 program, including an expanded presence with Shangri La Hotels & Resorts, Viceroy Hotels & Resorts and Anatara Hotels & Resorts.

Also in sync with the organization’s strategy to expand its network of experiential and adventure partners, Paradores De Turismo De Espana, S.A. was added as an Ensemble preferred supplier in 2015. This hotel chain features unique properties all over Spain, with many being located in castles, convents and monasteries. Ensemble members’ clients enjoy special perks when booking, such as breakfast or other amenities. Among those featured in the 2015 Ensemble Hotel & Resort Collection: Parador de Carmona in Sevilla, a 14th century Arab fortress; Parador de La Gomera in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a Canary Islands-style mansion; and Parador de Granada in the complex of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Alhambra Palace and fortress.

Properties in the hotel program offer Ensemble guests a variety of benefits including upgraded accommodations at check-in, early check-in and late checkout, as available, and Ensemble Exclusive amenities such as complimentary spa sessions, full daily breakfasts and welcome gift baskets.
