Ensemble elects Canadian agency owner as its new Board of Directors chair

NEW YORK — A Canadian travel industry veteran has been appointed to lead Ensemble Travel Group’s Board of Directors.

Terri Jo Lennox, CTC, president of Travel Time Inc., is the Board’s newly elected chair. She served as vice chair of the Board of Directors last year and takes over from Ross Spalding, outgoing chair, of Crown Cruise Vacations.

She says the role of the Board is to provide leadership and oversight to the Ensemble co-presidents and team, while representing the interests of the Ensemble member shareholders in a “balanced and fair manner”.

She also noted that this year’s focus will be to continue implementing the initiatives of Ensemble’s Strategy Plan 2020.

Lennox, who started in the travel industry in 1990, opened her first agency in Calgary in 1998 and has an agency footprint that now also includes Kelowna and Fort Nelson, B.C. Her agency joined Ensemble Travel Group, then GIANTS, in 1998. Her committee involvement includes compensation & review, finance and Canadian marketing.

Lennox is joined by Gary Pollard, CTC, president of Ambassador Tours, the Board’s newly elected vice chair. Pollard’s agency in San Francisco joined GIANTS in 1969, just one year after the consortium was founded. In addition to several committee appointments, Pollard is active in The Travel Institute, currently serving as vice chair of its board of trustees.

Both Lennox and Pollard were elected by their board peers for a one-year term.
