EF Go Ahead Tours offers history tours with Canadian expertise

TORONTO — Increased interest in history tours has prompted EF Go Ahead Tours to develop a curated portfolio of trips centered around remembering Canadian history.

The company has partnered with organizations including Canada’s History Magazine and the Juno Beach Centre “to deliver a specialized calibre from a Canadian perspective and add a new level of expertise,” says Johan Astrom, Vice President, Canada, EF Go Ahead Tours.

Last year Canadians commemorated the centennial of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. This year they will remember the centenary of the First World War, and in 2019, Canadians will commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

Astrom says agents interested in learning more about EF Go Ahead Tours’ portfolio of history tours, or working with clients interested in learning more about Canada’s role in the World Wars or have a family connection, are encouraged to contact EF Go Ahead Tours for more information.

“Our team of tour consultants are here to answer any questions you might have, or speak to the tour experience as a whole,” he says.

In 2017 EF Go Ahead Tours took travellers on a Vimy Ridge Centennial Tour. “The response to that tour, and the emotional connection that so many of our travellers experienced while standing among nearly 25,000 fellow Canadians memorializing the battle, really reinforced our ambitions to develop a more extensive portfolio of tours that celebrates Canada’s role in some of the events that helped shape history,” said Astrom.

The company’s portfolio of upcoming tours includes:
