Dinosaur Trips unveils six North American departures for spring, summer 2024

CALGARY — Dinosaur Trips is expanding in a big way, launching six departures as part of its 2024 North American lineup.

Specializing in dinosaur- and paleontology-focused travel expeditions, the tour operator will be offering six departures in total this spring and summer to Arizona & California, Utah & Colorado, Alberta, and Montana.

2024 North American trip departures include:

  • Route 66 Million Years Ago (Arizona & California, May 2-10): This nine-day odyssey will be led by Dr. Brian Curtice, prominent paleontologist and founder of Fossil Crates. Highlights include the Arizona Museum of Natural History, Petrified Forest National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Joshua Tree National Park and more. 
  • Red Rocks & Raptors (Utah & Colorado, May 13-20): Dr. Brian Curtice will guide guests on this eight-day exploration of Utah and Colorado, home to some of the most significant dinosaur discoveries. Highlights include the Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life, Great Salt Lake & Antelope Island, Brigham Young University Museum of Paleontology, Dinosaur National Monument, Pikes Peak Cog Railway and more.
  • Alberta Badlands & Beyond (Alberta, June 30-July 13, July 15-28): These two 14-day adventures provide guests with hands-on experience digging for dinosaur bones on a genuine fossil dig in northern Alberta. Highlights include Dinosaur Provincial Park, Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park, a two-day dinosaur dig, horseback trail ride, a Canadian Rocky Mountain spa experience and more.
  • Alberta Badlands Family Adventure (Alberta, July 30-Aug. 6): This family-friendly, week-long adventure welcomes guests of all ages. Led by paleontologist and certified fossil preparator Bethany Burke of BK  Bones, this itinerary includes Prehistoric Park at the Calgary Zoo, Dinosaur Provincial Park, the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology, Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park and more.
  • Montana Family Adventure (Aug. 9-17): Led by BK Bones’ Bethany Burke, this family-friendly adventure includes Montana Dinosaur Center, Museum of the Rockies, East Glacier National Park, cowboy experiences, Yellowstone National Park, a dinosaur dig and more.

Space is limited for each trip so guests are encouraged to book early. Dinosaur Trips is offering early-bird savings of $250 per person until Feb. 1, 2024.
