TORONTO — Jamaica is serving up a fresh dose of destination inspiration, supplier connections and business tips for Canadian travel advisors ahead of the winter rush, with a free virtual academy taking place today, Sept. 30.
Hosted by the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), the Fall Business Development Academy will run from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. EDT via Zoom, offering advisors an opportunity to refresh their Jamaica knowledge and explore practical strategies for growing their businesses.
The programme will feature an on-island destination update from the JTB team, including information on resort reopenings, new and enhanced attractions, resorts and public infrastructure. Advisors can also connect directly with resort, airline and tour operator partners through the Suppliers Showcase.
“Canadian travel advisors are looking for practical, relevant ways to work smarter and deepen their destination knowledge,” said Angella Bennett, Regional Director – Canada, Jamaica Tourist Board. “This year’s academy is designed to meet those needs, from the AI training and destination update to the supplier showcase and our video lounge. We encourage advisors across Canada to register, connect with our partners and refresh their Jamaica knowledge before the busy winter season.”
Participating suppliers include Unico Montego Bay, the Hyatt Caribbean Collection – including Secrets, Dreams, Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara – Sandals and Beaches Resorts, Jamaica Inn, Bahia Principe, Riu Resorts, Footeprints Negril, Princess Resorts, Excellence Oyster Bay, Couples Resorts, Intimate Resorts of Negril, Courtleigh and Jamaica Pegasus Hotels, and Royalton Resorts, among others.
Registration is free and open to all Canadian travel advisors. Those who register but cannot attend live will receive access to an event recording for two weeks following the session.
