Canadian travel advisor winners announced for Utah FAM contest

TORONTO — Four lucky Canadian travel advisors are on their way to Utah after participating in a recent FAM contest.

Announced in April by the Utah Office of Tourism, the contest launched alongside the enhanced Utah Specialist Academy 2.0, designed to deepen Canadian advisors’ knowledge of the destination while rewarding them for their continued support.

According to the organization, the program attracted strong participation from travel advisors across Canada who completed the specialist training.

The four winning advisors are:

  • Cathy Palmeria, Uniglobe Carefree Travel
  • Melissa Matheson, Goway Travel
  • Shane Shudra, AMA Travel
  • Carrie McNallie, The Travel Agent Next Door

All four winners will travel to Utah from Dec. 2–10, 2026, where they will experience the state’s iconic landscapes, outdoor adventures and vibrant communities firsthand.

Corey Marshall, Account Director for the Utah Office of Tourism, congratulated the four advisors, saying the organization is thrilled to welcome them.

“The response to the Utah Specialist Academy 2.0 incentive exceeded our expectations, demonstrating the enthusiasm Canadian travel advisors have for expanding their knowledge of Utah,” he added. “Experiencing the destination firsthand is one of the most effective ways to build confidence in selling, and we look forward to welcoming these outstanding advisors to Utah later this year.”
